World's greatest Dad

IMHO, I have a Dad that is the best. I don’t mean we see eye to eye on all subjects. We differ on religious, political, lifestyles, (the minor stuff you know). But I wouldn’t trade him for anyone else’s Dad in the world.

He’s kept my car alive and running. Especially this year. He came in the cold dark and helped change my tire.(I had to wake him up!) He did the dame thing to charge my battery. He finally got my car problems diagnosed and has it running well again.

He( and Mom too) have been there the last three years when I needed financial assistance with major medical bills for my kidney stone treatments. He supported me years ago when I was getting divorced(I thought he would be scandalized, but then I found out he had never liked my husband, but was nice to him for my sake) He has never put me down for the choices I have made. Twenty five years and forty pounds ago, when I joined the Army for a three year hitch, I think he had reservations but all he said was. “Just remember it’s not like a regular job you can quit anytime you feel like”.

I could go on, but when I hear folks complain about their parents I realize how lucky I have been to have such good ones. One of these days I’ll make a thread about Mom too, the woman I love most in the world.

I envy you. I also admire your love for your parents. That’s way rad. My mom is the best though.

I’ve mentioned my dad on these boards several times. The general concensus among people who knew him is that he was the best.
