World's Worst Intersections and Traffic Jams

See here. A good list, but put me down as another one amazed that Bangkok was missed.

I knew Chicago was going to be on that list, but that particular intersection isn’t even the worst of it, IMO.

I’m surprised Seoul wasn’t on there.

There are a couple around Boston (notably East Boston) that look worse than a couple posted there.

They certainly missed Africa (Kampala has some nightmarish traffic near the taxi stand) and there are some huge interchanges in the UAE with complicated signboards as the street names are in Arabic and English and are long.

Here are a few entries from Montreal:

Décarie Circle
Turcot Yards
The former Pine-Parc interchange, before it was demolished. These are not two superhighways. These are two good-sized city streets. This thing was replaced by a wye and two intersections. With stop lights.

I had a couple of near misses at Pine/Parc. Being from Boston, I’m always amazed when cities start construction projects, and then finish them in a reasonable amount of time. Ya think Mtl can give Beantown some pointers? Every summer they rip up the entire city to repair the winter’s damage and have it done (mostly) by the time the next winter rolls around.
