Worst. Cartoon. Ever.

Maybe Joe heard that and then expired out of shame:

Joseph Barbera goes to join Bill Hanna.

Oh well, at least with Johnnie Quest they inspired The Venture Brothers.

Except for *Jonny Quest * and *The Fantastic Four * and The Wacky Races.

And The Perils Of Penelope Pitstop.

And SWAT Kats.

And Hong Kong Phooey.

Gotta love a cartoon voiced by Scatman Crothers.

I couldn’t have been the only one who hated those God-awful Rude Dog and the Dweebs cartoons, can I?

But come to think of it, they weren’t as bad as the Hannah-Barbaric Pac-Man cartoons. Which weren’t quite as bad as the Rubik’s Cube cartoons. Those were even worse than the 1970s version Tom and Jerry cartoons, when they were nice to each other. Sickening.

I vote Rubik’s Cube as the worst cartoon ever. I’d rather read a book of poems by Wiley from B.C. than watch a full episode… wait, no I wouldn’t. That’s too much. But still, you get my point.

Wasn’t Teddy Ruxpin just incredibly shite and shite?

As I recall, the title was “Rubik, The Amazing Cube”.

And I’ll see your cube and raise you one “Hammerman” and the “Happy Days” cartoon where the Fonz, Richie, and Ralph had a time machine.

Heh… I remember the time-traveling Happy Days cartoons. I remember digging them when I was in my early teens, which is when I believe they were on. I have to wonder how I’d feel about it if I saw it again. I’ll have to check the listings on Boomerang and see if I can rediscover a joyful part of my youth or feel inward shame of my crappy tastes twenty years ago.

I seem to have a vague recollection of Hammerman. It was about MC Hammer, right? I’m not sure if I ever watched it. It sounds awful.

Now I’m remembering Rickety Rocket, Goldie Gold and Action Jack, and Meatball and Spaghetti. Actually, I seem to remember that Meatball and Spaghetti wasn’t that bad. I also dug the new age-y weirdness of Pandamoneum.

But the Rubik’s Cube cartoon was still the worst. Thanks for the full name. Tetris would probably make a better cartoon.

Right up there with My Little freakin Pony and The Smurfs.

Yes. IIRC, he was an ordinary Joe until he put on a pair of magic talking shoes, which caused him to become a superhero.

Heck, if you want to go to licensed cartoons, you have a whole bunch of weird ones to choose from. How about Pro Stars, which featured Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Bo Jackson as a team of superheroes?

And HERE is an indescribably worse version of Popeye.

Safe for work, if you have a strong stomach.

Yes! I’m not the only one who remembers this show. I described it to my 10 year old nephew and he thought I’d been smokin’ the dope with his dad.

Now,now, the original theatrical Tom and Jerry shorts were pretty good, but yeah, all the TV HB cartoons I saw were pretty bad.
