Worst movie titles

I’ll guess at something to do with Kipling.

Or Bread.

It was the name of one of the trucks.

People here usually object to dumbing down things, it’s kinda our thing.

About a dog which was given that name.

Also the title of a very popular and long-lived Science Fiction magazine.

The 1952 horror move Eegah

It could be a great movie for all I know, but The Hudsucker Proxy has got to win a prize for incomprehensible title.

It’s an awesome movie. Yeah, the title is weird, but it makes sense (after you’ve seen the movie).

It’s hard to be objective about it at this point but Star Wars itself is a pretty uninspiring name. What could you say about the movie based on its title? It’s a sci-fi war movie? Or maybe a Hollywood interpersonal drama? No hint of laser swords or empires or anything one might call iconic about the series in the name itself.

Also, it’s off topic but I would like to nominate “Destiny 2” as honorary worst video game title. Not only does “Destiny” have nothing to do with running around shooting aliens or possess any actual plot relevance, the “2” elevates it to the sublime. Destiny. A singular inevitable fate. The predetermined course of events that one cannot escape. Two.

After 16 “Final” Fantasies, this one hardly registers.

“Because Of Winn-Dixie” is a classic children’s book, that was made into a movie.

I’ve seen “The Hudsucker Proxy.” I don’t remember what it was about, but I do remember really enjoying it because I was at a place in life where I could strongly relate to it.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome - Great film, dumb title.

The Hula-hoop!

You know; for kids!

Movies that sound as if they ought to be about Carlos Castaneda’s Yaqui sorcerer Don Juan Matus, but aren’t:

Sorcerer

Vision Quest

Wizards

Magic

Summer Magic

Adventures of Don Juan

The Private Life of Don Juan

The Yaqui

That it doth

I just posted about a film in the “Movies you’ve seen recently” thread whose title deserves a mention here: Urgh! A Music War

WarUrgh!

What is it good for?

Absolutely nothing - Urgh!
