The signing of Favre reminded me of something I have considered doing for a while. It’s kind of a fantasy football game that as far as I know doesn’t actually exist anywhere. I call it HatersFFL
The format I have been trying to work out is to find who will suck the most vs. projections. It would require no weekly work. For example here is ESPNs fantasy projections
http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/tools/projections?
You would pick a QB, a RB, 2WR, a TE and a K before the season started. Then record the projections. At the end of the season you would check the actual stats, then get points for the difference in the Haters favor. The points would be basically in the usual FF format*.
TD(throwing, running, receiving)= 6
YDS(running, receiving)= 1 per 10 round down
YDS(Passing)= 1 per 25 round down
INT(Passing) -3
Points(Kicking) 1 per
For example
Lets say I wanted to hate on Brady so I chose him.
His projections
Passing rushing
YDS TD INT YDS TD
4210 33 11 46 1
Now hypothetically lets say he gets hurt and his actual numbers end up as
1212 9 3 6 0
for a haters difference of
2998 24 8 40 1
The QB total would be (2998/25) +(24x6) +(8*-3) +(40/10) + (1*6)= 119.92+144-24+4+6= 249.92.
Anybody interested?
Any suggestions?
*That projection sheet has no fumbles projected.
