I apologize to the OP and to the board. It was a wrongheaded attempt at humor. I didn’t mean to offend the OP. The object of my remark was the Pit mentality of “let’s pile on this person with whom we disagree.” It never occurred to me that anyone would take me seriously.

You really and truly aren’t getting it. It wasn’t a good joke but somehow a thread like this would still be lacking without a variation of it. It is a SDMB tradition to respond to whatever someone is complaining about with an example of what someone is complaining about.
Here is where you are going seriously wrong. The comment had absolutely nothing to do with you even though your name might be associated with it. It is just a traditional thread contribution to just make an example like that. The thought that you think it was actually directed at you rather than just being a general contribution shows that you aren’t looking at things the right way.
This type of explanation is problematic because you can’t see what you can’t see and you don’t know what you don’t know. Trust me as a long time member that it looks stupid to complain about something like that when it was not directed at you even though you might try to show technically that it was. It wasn’t.

With each post you dig yourself deeper and prove you don’t get it. For some reason you think it was a personal insult to you. It was not. It was a joke. With two words he both objected to your post and proved it to be true. A nice quick drive by piece of snark. Apparently the mods agree since one has been here and not objected.
