Would it be OK to post link to my study?

Howdy.

I’m a frequent reader, but not a very frequent poster. Right now I’m working on my dissertation regarding identity development. I’m looking for the most diverse sample possible, and figured the folks here would be outstanding in that regard.

I didn’t want to spam or offend, so before I post the link, I thought I’d ask permission. Would anybody mind?

The study is brief (15 min), online, anonymous, has been approved by an Institutional Review Board, does not pose more than minimal risk, and is open to native-born US residents over age 22.

Thoughts?

I’ll discuss with the other mods; will get back to you soon.

Please let me know if you would like the link to privately review, etc.

I’m in, feel free to PM me the link

I’ll take part in the survey. Feel free to pm me a link.

Sure I’m game.

Thanks, guys.

Anyone reading this and thinking of doing it – it’s pretty quick and painless, and it’s also really interesting. Srsly.

Could y’all just cool your jets for a few hours while we get this all square and legal?

Thanks,

???

If she’s sending the link via PM what does it matter?

People are supposed to ask for permission to post requests for surveys. By doing so publicly rather than privately, which is how most people do it, the OP circumvented the spirit of that rule while observing the letter. I was asking that people observe the spirit of the rule – guess I should have locked and disappeared the thread to ensure that that’s what happened. I didn’t because I assumed she would wait to receive permission before moving forward on this – silly assumption on my part.

All of that said, permission is granted. You may start a thread in IMHO with the link public. State in that thread that you have permission.

I will lock this thread as moot.
