Supposedly they were short a flight attendant, but in actuality I think they waiting for about 25 crew members who were deadheading. So the excuses ran from a fore mentioned flight attendant to too much fuel, an engine that didn’t want to start, an unknown (to us ) issue, a back up at de-icing, blah blah. And deadheading crew kept boarding.
I’m on a cruise right now and so far so good. First half of the cruise had decent masking (masks are ‘recommended’ not ‘required’). Now on the end half, mask use has dwindled to near none. Crew are still required to mask though.
Cruise required vaccines and a pre cruise Covid test.
Also this cruise is less than half full.
Not that I would be on a cruise anyway, not my thing, but…
The cruise ship the Ruby Princess is currently sailing away from the Bay Area after dozens of passengers came down with COVID-19.
The Majestic Princess is now docked at the Pier 27, the same pier that was used by the Ruby Princess over the weekend, when at least 70 passengers were diagnosed with COVID following a 15-day cruise to the Panama Canal.
Replying with an update. We decided to use a credit and put this off for a while (we have 2 years to rebook) because we didn’t want to get quarantined, even though we weren’t that worried about getting very sick. Anyhow it started in Budapest which isn’t a place we really wanted to be right now.
