Would you let a twelve-year-old girl watch Annie Hall?

Bravo, very well stated. Thanks.

If you want a movie that Woody Allen took seriously (and possibly of historical educational value for a 12-year-old), there’s The Front. Woody had long been saying he wanted to do a “serious” movie, as opposed to his earlier juvenile slapstick, and this was it.

If you want slow and plodding from that era, try The Way We Were with Barbra Streisand. Pass the No-Doz, please.

If you think the kid can handle seeing oral sex, Deep Throat is the thing.

If you want good simple clean fun for the family, I always recommend Li’l Abner (the 1959 version with Peter Palmer and Leslie Parrish), or The Secret Life of Walter Mitty starring Danny Kaye.
