On occasion I might be slightly more circumspect, but generally speaking it wouldn’t make any difference. Like many other respondents to this post said about themselves, I’d be very easy to find if someone really wanted to - my posts have included plenty of information that is specific to me. (I’m a little hard to google because my name is very common, but this would merely impede the process, not stop it.)
Frankly, I can’t imagine why anyone would bother to identify me anyway. I’m not sure what nefarious purpose they would put that information to.
