I prefer a too big feather duvet (the kind called a feather blanket). I can roll up in it and not worry about sheets. It’s sheets and blanket in one. Why would I do that? Moving into a new house, nothing set up. You can sleep rolled up in a too big duvet on a mattress on the floor plus a pillow and be perfectly comfortable for days on end while you get things arranged.
While a wet blanket is no fun…

if it’s too dry, it’ll start crumbling and stuff. Granted, you aren’t likely to encounter a blanket that dry (much like you aren’t likely to encounter a blanked too big to fit in your house)
