Not for a year, but only because it would be difficult to explain away why Matt had ceased to exist and who the hell Maud was (there’s a reason – difficulty choosing names), leading to all sorts of practical problems.

Assuming all my documents, friends, family, etc etc etc were magically changed into thinking I was a girl since birth, and then it all reverted back after a year, then sure. It would be fun.
I sure wouldn’t want to get knocked up three months into it. As bad as the ladies might have it squeezing a baby out of their hole, I sure wouldn’t want a 6+ pound lump of flesh working its way out of my genitalia.
But would I want to switch? Nah. Even if I knew it was going to happen, I think I’d have some issues with no longer having a penis; it would just be too wierd psychologically and physically.
But maybe for a day, just to see what all the fuss is about.

A year is quite a long time. If all the paperwork were figured out in advance — if I could still receive the same paycheck at my current job, still have a home and a drivers’ license and so on — then yes, I’d do it.
I’ve wondered in the past what I might look like had I been born a woman. I tried doing a photographic morph of my own face to see how I might have looked with an extra X chromosome. Kind of eerie, actually.
