Would you turn in your significant other for a crime?

What sort of reward are we talking about?

No, never.

I’m not a likable person; somehow, I would end up in prison.

Perzactly.

I’d think about that if I were you.

And I wouldn’t, except for very few things.

Eh. I selected only for a specific reason - but what I really mean is that it depends on the situation.
If he murdered a child or turned out to be a pedophile, I would definitely turn him in to the police.
There are a few other things.

But he would never do any of these, so it’s purely hypothetical. And he wouldn’t be my SO anymore, because I’d leave him too.
But the answer is No for almost all things.

Heck, no. My wife is a true “goodie two shoes”. She would not commit a crime. The worst thing she does, is she sometimes speeds. So no, I would not ever have an issue with this.

She might have to “rat me out” some time, as I am the one who does not always follow the rules.

Totally depends on the crime and the circumstances.

Not as reprehensible as being an Auschwitz guard!

“Otherwise a decent person”. Well, other than the murders, but hey, what can you do? It’s family.

Combine this with the kneecapping thread, and I’m beginning to think this whole board is full of psychopaths.

And kneecapping. Don’t forget to knee cap her.

Having them incarcerated is a hell of a lot cheaper than a divorce!

nope.

You’re kidding, I’m sure. But unless it is the only way to protect a child, or we are on a sinking ship and she is refusing to get into a lifeboat for love of me, I will never do physical violence to my wife.

What if she is trying to cause you serious physical harm? Let’s pretend for the hypothetical that you don’t deserve it

I don’t care. Unless it is necessary to protect a child or to save her from greater harm, I will not harm my wife. If that means I get killed because she’s gone crazy and attacked me and for whatever reason I cannot retreat, then I die.

Yep, that’s my thinking as well.

“A friend will help you move. A good friend will help you move a body.”

I’ll add my vote to this.

This sounds about right.

Not this, though; once you try to kill me, all bets are off.

What if this kid ran around the neighborhood screaming all day and won’t keep off your lawn? I’m not even sure that would be considered murder. :stuck_out_tongue:

Has my wife posted in this thread? Need answer fast!
