Suppose a new national capitol, Usa, is constructed in the middle of the United States. It is shaped like the United States, with a similarly shaped capitol building.
I visited the old Capitol once. On a school field trip. We visited the White House and the Air and Space Museum and the Capitol building, and got to ride on the little subway that the Congressmen use. That’s kind of a ride.
If I had the opportunity to take another field trip to the new Capitol, yes I would go. But there had better be secret subways. Plus, Jimmy Garrity had better not be kicking the back of my seat the whole way, or there’s going to be trouble again. Sorry Mrs. Schierf, but that’s just the way it is.
I’m confused. What’s the difference between the Capitol and the capitol building? Are we moving just the Capitol, or all of D.C.? I guess just moving the Capitol would allow incumbent Congress critters to claim accurately that they were Washington outsiders. That’s something. It would put up the long distance charges for the White House though.
