Just received my voter’s pamphlet for an election next month. One of the candidates is a guy that goes by the name Goodspaceguy. As can be seen in the link, he has run for office before but this time he has dropped his legal name.
There use to be a another joker that was a perennial candidate for various offices that went by the name Mike The Mover. He had his name legally changed to that.
Anyone else get weirdos, err, folks with unique names that run for office where you live?
We had a local politician who legally changed his name to Byron “Low Tax” Looper. He eventually killed his opponant, and so never gained office. Byron Looper

I keep threatening to change my name to “None of the Above” and running for office.
I’m not sure if he ever changed his last name, but as soon as I first saw him listed on the ballot back in 1980, I thought that the name of Richard Congress had a “too good to be true” ring to it.
