Would you want your funeral webcast?

I have a 20x lens on my main video camera, and set up as far back in the room as I can get. At the Catholic service for my friend, I was in the balcony, about as discreet as possible.

Hell no. If you can’t make it to my funeral, you can be spared the boring speeches. No way in hell will people be able to honor my memory electronically. I hate the idea.

But, then, I don’t have loved ones overseas on active duty.

Considering the present state of my and my family’s finances, my opinion at the moment is that spending any money at all on corpse disposal would be irresponsible. To a somewhat lesser extent, so does the idea.of spending money on a party.

An MPSIMS thread should just about do it.

Yes. I have friends all over the world. If they would like to attend via webstream, that’s great.

I plan to be cremated, so people would only see photos of me, and the urn, and the people attending in-person.

Edit: I’m an atheist, so church rules shouldn’t come into the discussion; I’ve requested a secular memorial.
