I can’t rmember the last time I felt cold. Been a few months at least. And I also want to say think you to Mr. Carrier. Without him Summer in the southern US was be unlivable. I don’t know how my Mom made it through being pregnant in 100 degree weather with no air conditioning. I do know that when window units were first being advertised in Memphis, my parents each bought one at the same 
time not knowing the other had bought one.
You from West Tennessee? I grew up there. Mother never lets me forget that I was breech born in a heat wave when there was no air conditioning. I think she has the beginnings of a good Monty Python routine.
I turned the floor fan off for the first time in a while today. I usually keep that on in addition to the air conditioner.
Isn’t modern life wonderful…that we can experience winter chills in the midst of summer, and heatwaves while it is frigid outside.
If you want more cold, take some of mine. I’m working the night shift in a very air-conditioned lab, and I’m freezing. Can’t turn the heat up, either, because if I do, it messes up the temperasure sensors on the blood fridges and everything starts bleeping like the apocalypse is upon us.
The a/c is refreshing when I arrive for a day shift and it’s hot as hell outside, but right now it’s coooold!
