I’ve read that most of the cast and crew thought it would be Garrett Morris or Laraine Newman who would die. Like Belushi, they had serious drug problems at the time. But Belushi appeared to be in good health while Morris and Newman appeared to be wasting away. (In the “Don’t Look Back In Anger” sketch, both of their predicted deaths reflect this.)
The irony is that Belushi died and Morris and Newman were able to quit drugs and both are still alive thirty years later.

What the heck kind of skit is that? It sounds so depressing and barely funny at all. Please tell me that watching it was a lot different than reading about it
