While shows from Alice to Dukes of Hazzard to Sanford & Son to WKRP had A CHRISTMAS CAROL themed episodes and others including Benson and Night Court opted for It’s a Wonderful Life themes, some great or not so great shows never had a Christmas special episode. Here’s your chance to remedy that.
My pics:
HBO’s OZ- Schillinger becomes a changed man when he’s visited by The Ghost of Aryan Christmas’s Past (Himmler in a St. Nick outfit), Present (Hudson Gibson) and Future (Dakota Fanning [hey, she’s in everything else]) and consequently not only doesn’t instigate the prison rape of his new cell mate, embezzler Robert Cratchit, but becomes a second father to the child of Beecher’s that he didn’t have murdered. In a sideplot out of O. Henry Beecher sells his meth stash so he can buy Keller an appeal for Christmas, unaware that Keller has killed the lawyer Beecher hired for him to get money to buy Beecher a new meth pipe. In yet another plot Sister Pete shoots and kills a guard who disses West Side Story.
Queer as Folk- Brian Kinney, having told everybody “bah fcking humfck”, is visited by the Ghost of Homo Christmas Past (Truman Capote in a stunning Santa suit) to his childhood where he didn’t get the Muscle Hunks subscription, then by Ghost of Homo Christmas Present (Ellen Degeneres as a dancing Ms. Claus) to see how much he’s upset Justin by not picking up his hints for an all new artist easel and Elijah-Wood clone rentboy, and Ghost of Homo Christmas Future (Hayden Christensen [wearing a portable closet to conceal his identity]) who shows him how much whining Michael is going to do in the future because of Brian’s action this year. In a sideplot Emmet has two dates in one night and it’s no problem at all, and Debbie discovers that Vic left his life insurance to a Vietnamese wife and children she never knew existed (which is particularly odd since Vic was never in Vietnam).
Your turn.
