He’s more about the slow corruption, rather than the actual smiting.
I meant getting you the gig of Emperor.
That’s me. If they told me up front that it wasn’t getting my arugula, I probably would have ordered something else entirely. But they failed to tell me they were out of one of the key ingredients? It’s like ordering a chili-cheese hot dog only to be served a hot dog drenched in chicken noodle soup. Hey, it’s kinda like chili… but in no way is a substitution!
Mmmmmm, bacon.
I like Broadbent’s Nitrite-free bacon, or this guy’s.
I once received a Spaghetti Carbonara that did its damndest to ruin bacon. Waitress asked me if wanted more soy sauce?!? Only dish I’ve ever sent back.
When I buy bacon, I like to get meat counter Ohio slab bacon, sometimes peppered, weighed and wrapped in paper by a friendly butcher.
I actually like Chilis, at least over the other chains (Applebees is the devil), and I have had that sandwich, also without arugula. The bacon was fine every time I ordered it.
Maybe they were having an off day.
I’m confused. Maple bacon is sweet. By using cloying, are you meaning that it was too sweet? Because the word means too much of a good thing, I at first thought you were saying that it had too much bacon flavor, which is sacrilege.
Anyways, I’m curious if you just don’t like (sweet) maple bacon, or if there was something wrong with this batch.
It had to be. I always order a bacon avacado burger and they always taste great.
I’m with tdn. The only people I’m aware of that can fuck up bacon is McDonald’s. I went in the late afternoon and ordered one of those bacon deluxe burgers.
The bacon they used was so over cooked it tasted like it was left over from the morning service and left on the grill for about 12 freaking hours.
The real kick in the nuts is they got me twice like this because I figured the first time was just a fluke.
My sweet tooth is limited to actual sweets. I’ve learned to be very cautious about anything that has a description including words like “maple” or “honey.” My experience has been that anything like that is going to be sweet at level to rival a desert. De gustibus and all that, but entrees that are actually syrupy are just strange. They are also a prime example of a way in which extra sugar gets into people’s diets.
Soy sauce?? ![]()
I agree! keep the raspberries, blueberries, honey, surup and applesauce away from my food. If I want desert, I’ll get back to ya. Don’t pile it onto my entre.
Bacon should be cruchy and salty, not sweet. My husband would put jam or surup on his whole breakfast if given the opportunity. I just don’t understand that.
