WTH is up with Get Fuzzy today?

Yesterday, it was established that Satchel has a clapper. That should clear things up for you.

But it still doesn’t make it funny…

Thanks, but WTH is a clapper and what does stumbling around in the dark have to do with it?

Well, the clapper is a device that you attach to your electrical devices so that you can turn them on and off by clapping instead of throwing the switch (sings: “clap on, clap off, the clapper!”), but I’m not sure why Bucky is drooling and acting like a zombie.

Clap on, clap off, the clapper? Nothing?

It’s an attachment you put on to lights (or other electrical appliances) and when you clap, they turn on. Clap again, they turn off.

He’s not drooling, those are the strings from his hood.

Thanks. I wonder why the plumber’s helper. Maybe we’ll see in the next few days.

Because it’s funny. And it’s funnier if it isn’t explained what he’s doing.

Besides, anything with a plumber’s helper is automatically funny.

Okay, I’ll have to concede that.

Wow…I’m not sure if you’re younger than me or older than me and just missed all those commercials in the 80’s.

Clap on! clap clap
Clap off! clap clap

The Clapper!

It was often this old lady in bed, who finished reading and clapped heartily to turn the lights off.

What the hell is a plumber’s helper? You mean the plunger?

Plumber’s helper = plunger.
Clap Clap = disease.

I didn’t watch much TV in the 80’s.

I wasn’t sure if Bucky is trying to be a thug or the Grim Reaper.

Maybe it’s going to be a “Christmas Carol” story, and Bucky’s the ghost of Christmas past, or present, or something…

She would then trip down her stairs, lights alternating with each bounce, and at the bottom declare, “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.”

oh come on youse guys! Bucky is *obviouisly * terrorizing Satchel. Again. It’s what he does!

It was very nice seeing Barbara Bush get some regular work in those commercials…

And, then, eventually, “I’ve fallen! And I can’t get up!”

Which, now that I think about it, could also be the slogan for Viagra.

Because her son doesn’t have time to buy his Mother a bedside lamp, the schmuck.

I think Bucky is terrorizing Satchel as the Grim Reaper with plunger instead of scythe.
