I haven’t previewed to read the rest of this so maybe she does show up again, but the first example is odd enough. She is averaging almost 12 posts per day. TWELVE!! And I don’t recall it being a bunch of post-padding "me too"s or lawn chairs either. She’s been all over GD, basically plastering herself onto that forum since she arrived.
Now I can understand that someone with only a little spare time to browse the boards might want to abstain from getting into a lengthy discussion clarifying a position. People around here can be pesky with “cite please” requests that border on the ridiculous, and other such time consuming “I demand you explain yourself and support this assertion” sort of things. If you were a casual board-dweller, you would probably just say “eh, doesn’t matter, let 'em keep asking, I don’t have the time.” But if you are averaging TWELVE posts a day, that’s just ridiculous.

I can handle WV_Woman’s penchant for making inflammatory posts on a “hit and run” basis and refusing to defend them.
What I find less forgivable (and far more ‘creature who lives under a bridge’-type behaviour) is her posting tripe like
in a GD thread and leaving it up to other posters to correct the misinformation she is spreading.

Lay off Brutus, at least in this thread. Yes, his views are obnoxious and occasionally racist, and he shows little if any tact. But he does defend said viewpoints. And he does have a sense of humor about them. I remember I said something about conservative nutjobs and he replied, “Why do you think we watch Red Dawn every day? To prepare!” or something along those lines. You have to give him at least a little credit for that.
Also, he does not post them day and night nonstop. Since Wednesday I’ve been sitting here mostly unable to go out or do anything because of recent surgery, and had insomnia for part of this time, and WV_Woman is still out-posting me. And she posts her stupid-ass invective in every possible forum. She could be the first person to be a dumbass in the 6 most posted-in fora.
What’s worse is that she absolutely refuses to defend any viewpoint whatsoever. She doesn’t have the grapes to come in and defend herself as an myriad respected Dopers and myself have railed on her ignorance. If she is banned she shouldn’t just have BANNED under her name. She should have IMPEDIMENT TO THE PROLIFERATION OF KNOWLEDGE under there. She is a complete and utter waste of bandwidth. WV_Woman, you are a scourge upon these boards. As regards taggert, I think that post that was quoted was meant to be satirical. Admittedly, the art of satire has diminished somewhat since Candide, but I don’t mind. Perhaps there’s a fine line between trolling/satire/parody, but I think we’re working that one out right now in the Pit.
As regards Brutus, I actually thought a couple of the quotes you cited from him were reasonably defensible positions. If he didn’t defend them reasonably after making them, then he suffers from the exact same thing as WV_Woman. It was right of techchick to point out that not everyone here is a leftist, I think perhaps some people get off on martyrdom.
Personally, as a relative newcomer, I’m wondering about the fate of some of these posters. I think it’s a little presumptious to predict an eventual banning, as grim spectre has done. In the past, do people who come off like this early on survive to mellow out, keep posting in the same brash and bold style, or some other alternative entirely? I wonder in a general sense of course, since I must imagine that suggesting any particular person will end up being banned is probably against somebody’s rules somewhere.
