Wynand Fockink Superior Gerijpte Genever

Its Dutch, gerijpte jenever just means ‘aged jenever’ (jenever being the Ducth name for the gin-like liquor). Wynand Fockink is the name of the guy who opened the distillery it comes from.

Whether it’s any good, I don’t know… I don’t particularly like jenever. One way it is often drunk, is as a shot followed by beer (sometimes they put the shotglass in the beer and do it in one movement). This combination is called a ‘kopstoot’ or headbut.
