You didn’t err; you coincidentally showed that 3 out of the 4 states just happen to have cheaper gas prices that happen to have 50+% support for Bush.
I try to look, but I bet those states had some of the lowest gas prices when Clinton, Bush I, Reagan, Ford, Carter, etc. held office.
