Xbox: Which DVD drive is in the following bundles...

I own a Xbox that has the ill-starred Thompson DVD drive. I have been shopping around for a replacement Philips or Samsung drive, but the cost is high enough that I can justify a second Xbox, which has the added benefit of reducing the number of screen-peek accusations :slight_smile:

Before I purchase a new console, I would like to ask fellow Xbox-dopers who have purchased one of the recent bundles, the Holiday bundle (Clone Wars and Tetris) or the Quest bundle (MechAssault and KotOR) if they could tell me which drive is in their Xbox.

There is no way to tell for sure unless you look at the drive itself, but the “manufactured on” date can often give you a clue.
