Yeh, they’re starting a mock religion over this one comic or something.
I just started posting there yesterday though for kicks.

Ah, so they’re building a boat?
Looks more like a pier. For when the water rises.
Latest update, the guy takes a sip of water, spits it out and says yuck.
What the hell is going on?
There have been references to both “the river” and “the sea”, so it looks to me like he was seeing which one was closest/dominant.
Maybe a tidal estuary. It isn’t a surf beach.
That was more than just a wee bit psychedelic.
That was awesome.
Thanks!
I don’t think it’s seawater. Megan was gagging when she got of mouthful of it when they went swimming. Something weirder than “a day at the beach” is going on.
They’ve both left the scene and nothing’s changed for a couple of hours. We’re getting close to frame 500 by Aubronwood’s count. Maybe that will be the grand finale?
Nah, Megan just came back. Considering how slowly the “water” is rising, and how big the castle is, I think we’re going to have several weeks of it crumbling.
How do we know her name is Megan, by the way?
I feel lost! The xkcd forum is down right now. I’m catching up on geekwagon, but I don’t know what the latest theories are.
Yeah, OK, it’s still going. Come to think of it though, why does Aubron Wood only have 500 frames? If it’s changed every 30 minutes for the past 16 days, then we should have over 750 by now, or am I figuring something wrong?
From day 6 onwards it went to 1 per hour.
If the castle in the middle is a small version of the entire scene, then the new structure might eventually become the webpage surrounding the panel.
Ooh, the barbershop-mirror theory! Infinite non-fractal recursion! Nice!
It’s interesting that before Cueball built the miniature version of the castle he started to build a miniature version of the two piers.
I think it is just going to be a demonstration of how they could have build Stonehenge and the pyramids using contemporaneous technology.
The sea is rising!
