Xwaves

Hey Cecil

While cruising the web I stumbled upon this site : http://www.treasure-troves.com/physics/X-Wave.html. Having heard so many times that the speed of light is the universal speed limit I surprised to read that the limit has been broken multiple times. Is this merely projecting physical reality on mathematics or is there experimental evidence that Xwaves, tachyons and others of their ilk physically exist?

Hey, check out this website

Basically, it says that a wave traveled faster than light, but because the outcome could have been predicted, no useful signal was transmitted. This, apparently, does not violate relativity or the causality principle
