Y2K+1

It’s time that the Prophets of Doom leave the places that they have been hiding since their predictions about Y2K failed, in the most part, to materalize.
Have you seen any signs of activity?
I recall that some of them, as they went into hidding, that the reason their predictions did not come true was because 1/1/2000 was not the start of the new millennium/century. 1/1/2001 is.
Where are they now?

Yes, 2001 will be the start of the 21st Century & 3rd Millennium AD. It was just the “odometer” change from 1999 to 2000 that caused the fuss.

I know of systems that had a 1989-to-1990 bug because they were using the last digit of the year as the first part of their index number.

Of course, any 1-, 2-, or 3-digit year representations would’ve had problems at the Y2K rollover. But now that we’re on the “safe” side, I betcha we’ll be using just 2 digits for the year when everyone gets sick of entering 20__.
