As for the OP, I don’t think anyone is confused. Somebody saw something, thought it looked like a hyena (or just made it up). Posters replied that there is nothing native to Arkansas that looks exactly like a hyena. Could be a lengthy list of other things that can look somewhat like a hyena, depending on how bad the original observer’s eyesight and memory may be. Or, just possibly, by some incredibly rare set of circumstances, it might have been an escaped hyena. But probably not.
Everything else in this thread is just fluff.

Now that’s you’re back in, why would you tell your friend we can’t answer it without a picture when he provided one? And why are you so resistant to the idea that your friend might be pulling your leg?
