But it’s Peter Jackson doing His Dark Materials so I think we can be a bit reassured.
Unless he really really screws up the rest of the LOTR and then we need to be nervous.

Unfortunately, Willie Wonka is being remade with Tim Burton directing and…um…I’m having trouble saying this…Marilyn Manson as fricking Willie Wonka.

Where did you hear this? I know that they’re trying to get Tom Stoppard for the screenplay, but Jackson is news to me.
The Burton/Manson Wonka ain’t happening.
Treasure Planet isn’t exactly the first time a classic has been re-imagined in a different setting.
I can’t say I’m sad about MM not playing Wonka, but I was rather looking forward to seeing Mr. Burton’s version of Charlie.
