Yea, Bill O'Reilly! (Damn, I never thought I'd type that)

Naw, only dirt malls and dollar stores would notice the wrath of the Million Homophobic Mom boycott.

I’ve spent most of the evening watching the numbers of ‘likes’ grow on the 1 Million people who support Ellen for JC Penney Facebook page.

I first signed up this morning when it was at 80,000. Now it’s at 140,000. They’ve already tripled the alleged “one million moms” 40,000 total, and it’s growing by about one ‘like’ every 2-3 seconds. And there seems to be a general trend towards buying shit at JC Penney and saying “Ellen sent me”. Great spontaneous movement.

As I posted there: it’s not really “thank you JC Penney for standing up for something”, it’s actually “thank you JC Penney for just being normal”. In the strange world of religious bigotry, it’s sometimes difficult to retain perspective.

Even the homophobes I know think Ellen is an exception. These people are out of touch even in the homophobe community.

I’m a Christian, and absolutely love Ellen DeGeneres. Her comedy is very funny, and clean and largely family friendly. I would not be ashamed at all to say I like her in my church, and I’m pretty conservative.

I have to shop at J.C. Penney’s now.

I’ve been known to boycott works of performers who I have a beef with, (Katherine Heigl, Tom Cruise, and Mel Gibson to list a few). I’ve been known to boycott products that have commercials that insult viewer’s intelligence. Or just companies that get on my bad side… like Lowe’s.

I’m also quite loyal, and J.C. Penney’s is a company I support for not giving in to these bigoted groups of people.

Speaking of this group; I feel sorry for them, (and their kids). Gay is here to stay. There’s nothing they can do to stop it. They will have to live in discomfort and disgust for the duration of their lives. I also think it’s sad that there are people out there that are so ignorant.

Maybe I’m just dense on this, but I can’t figure out what the hell Sampiro is trying to say in the OP. And just for the record, Sampiro is one of my favorite posters here for his usual quick wit and clever turn of phase.
