My brother lives in Manhattan and when we visited him he suggested we should go up to the top of the WTC. When the time came there was a sudden change of plan and he suggested something else instead. Coincidence? I think not! Actually I’m not sure my brother is real, either – he might be a hologram being transmitted by aliens from the distant planet Wackadoo 3.

When conspiracy theorists say “It makes no sense!”, it’s basically an admission of intellectual failing on their part.

Case in point:

One of the hilarious things about this is the discussion of the South Tower coming down first. The common claim is that since the impact was lower down it had to support more weight. But since it was lower down there should have been more steel therefore more difficult to heat. Then there is the matter of the South Tower impact not going into the core and the fireball exploding out the side of the building.

The South Tower coming down first should be a red flag that something makes no sense.

I’m not sure why this is “hilarious”, but it was more than amply explained by:

With all of the variables involved with two different airliners colliding in a nearly uncontrolled fashion with the two towers in different manners, I don’t find it surprising in the least that one happened to collapse faster than the other.

You should also read @Cervaise’s advice in Post #251 upthread.

I run into this a lot on other topics as well, where the insistence that because things don’t follow in a logical manner from their premises something must sinister happened, rather than the much simpler explanation that their premises are wrong or incomplete.

Exactly! I went “down” into the coal mine exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. By the speed of the rocks going up out the elevator screen, we must have descended hundreds of feet. I leaned later we went…into the basement! They were fooling me! It was a conspiracy! There are no coal mines beneath Chicago! Wake up sheeple!
