9/11 truthers, including but not limited to claims that 9/11 didn’t happen or was a false flag operation by the government.
Yes, those are some of the false premises I previously referred to. Since there was plane wreckage at both locations and a perfectly reasonable explanation for the WTC collapse, believing otherwise requires, if not a full-on conspiracy, at least a healthy dose of delusion.
It’s the same reason physicists don’t respond to every crackpot who sends them a scrawled thesis claiming to disprove Einstein. You can’t reason people out of positions based on ignorance and imaginary evidence, and life’s too short to spend it trying.
You should reconsider your avatar considering the level of logic you exhibit.
And probably some other life choices too.

You know where else I used to see exhortations for us to be “open-minded”? In the climate change denial threads we used to have here before such discussion was banned as a tired old topic that never led to anything productive.
The term doesn’t mean what you seem to think it does. Open-mindedness means being willing to to consider new facts and being willing to modify an existing theory or conclusion as justified and supported by new information.
Open-mindedness does not mean a willingness to discard proven, incontrovertible conclusions based on a vast wealth of unquestionable evidence in favour of someone’s uninformed, unsupported, and totally baseless opinion.
The frustration you’re seeing here (which you choose to attribute to posters being “assholes”) is because even though it seems strange to be asking the kinds of questions you’re still asking 23 years after the fact, your questions were nevertheless answered, and yet you keep ignoring the answers and droning on about your unsupported beliefs. If you were actually open-minded, you would act the way I just described: consider the facts being presented to you, and when you find that they disprove your beliefs, change your beliefs.
