Yet another Miss Universe question

I a bit new here and I’m sure the topic of the French contestant in the Miss Universe pagent has been discussed here before. And I could really care less if she is a he, or whatever. But what cought my attention was a story from E! Online. Here’s a bit of it:
"The brouhaha began in January, when the French Internet news site L’Examineur claimed that Gossuin was really a 27-year-old transvestite cabaret dancer called Nicolas Levanneur.

The story picked up steam when Puerto Rican papers and the New York Daily News began questioning Gossuin’s gender. The local tabloids pointed out with glee that Gossuin had unusually large hands and her forehead sported a scar–supposedly telltale signs that the contestant had undergone a sex-change operation. "
Anyway, my question is what does a scar on the forhead have to do with a sex change operation? I could understand if there were a scar on his/her throat (maybe to hide an Adam’s apple) but on the forhead? What gives?
And yeah she does have really big hands. I mean REALLY big. Reminds me of the “man hands” episode from Sienfeld

Look here… apparently it was a joke!

Welcome, by the way!

aww man, hear that? yes, that’s the sound of me making an @ss of myself.
Oh well, thanks for the “hoy-hoy” astro.

There’s a joke that involves a man undergoing a sex change, and all his friends asking him if it hurt. He repeatedly insists that it didn’t, except for when the surgeons opened his head and removed half his brain.

Just a WAG, but perhaps it was a reference to that?

No problem!

Welcome again! You’ll get a lot of that here, but it’s GOOD!
