I’m afraid I don’t have much to go on here. When I was a little kid, I saw a movie on, I believe, Family Classics. I recall nothing of the movie except a couple of moments, but those moments made a deep impression on me. It was in black-and-white. Gangsters are speeding down the street, shooting their tommy guns out the windows of their car. They hit a woman who’s on the sidewalk or maybe a stoop with her children. She falls. Then we see her young son visiting her grave, sobbing his heart out in the rain. The woman and her son were Black. I think the movie was about the family, not the gangsters, but I don’t recall.
That’s all I’ve got. I know it’s not much, but I’m hoping it will ring a bell with someone.
