The new version of ZOOM has been on PBS since 1999. WGBH announced last year that they were ending production of the series.
AGAIN!?!?
Holy cats, I just saw a new episode today! Shing Ying and Noreen built a solar still (leaving orange juice out in the sun all afternoon makes it stinky).

Actually, all of the episodes featuring the cast you mentioned originally aired in early 2005. This 2004 article says that ZOOM was not doing as well as other PBS shows. It’s a shame. ZOOM has been one of my favorite PBS shows ever since its inception. It’s sad, when so many PBS Kids shows really annoy me to death (Buster from the Arthur spinoff has the most annoying TV voice this side of Fran Drescher).
I wonder how long they are going to leave their website up? I wonder if we can start a letter-writing campaign to get it back on the air? DVDs, anyone?
Thanks for the article, mobo85. I thought they were still in production.

Thanks! My boyfriend and I watched it this weekend and loved it. We’d both forgotten how they hide behind their lower lips when the phone rings. Man, that show used to be so great.
