Yo, MADs! Suggest a mid-atlantic beach!

So, screw this. In late september we’re heading for the coast. Four or five days, just relaxing.

Last time we went to Rehoboth and Lady Chance thought it was too quiet and a little too small.

So I’m trolling for suggestions, here. The only other beach we’ve been to (around here) is Ocean City, MD so that’s sort of our basis for comparison.

Anyone want to make a suggestion? Bring it on!

Is Cape May, NJ too far north to qualify? It’s at the very southern tip of New Jersey.

Is Duck, NC too far south? I think the tourist season is starting to wind down a bit…

If Rehobeth is too small and quiet, then the only beach town thats bigger and louder (and fairly nearby) is OC, MD. But everything is a lot quieter after labor day. Of course, after labor day, prices are going down on hotels as well.

The Eastern shore beaches are excellent in September.

If Virginia Beach isn’t too far south for you, I’d recommend it. It’s certainly not small or sleepy. You’ll find plenty to do there. That’s not to take anything away from North Carolina’s outer banks (and Duck in particular) It’s nice there too.

What Simon said. If Rehobeth is too small/quiet, only ones I can think of in the general MAD area are (it’s MAD, I tell you, MAAAAAD! … Okay, I’ll calm down…MAD I tell you!)

Oh. Huh? What … right, okay. Ah yes. Ocean City and VA Beach it is.

[sub]That might be the strangest post I’ve ever written. I hope you’re … um … something, I dunno. I think I just scared myself.[/sub]
