Oh, hey, I was impressed with that kid and his own spinoff, I mean, he wrote HUNDREDS of pages and did computer animation and all of that.
If only that power could be harnessed for GOOD.
I wonder whatever became of him? (Radio Shack assosiate manager?)
As for the Commander, as all in fear of her pulling out an uzi one day on them called her, she is beyond help. I just don’t want to be around the morning she wakes up and realizes that…
Just for the record, darlin’, you get whooshed when a joke has gone over your head or by taking something seriously when it was meant as satire, hyperbole, or just plain nonsense.
It’s all moot. The Battlestar Galactica could kick both their butts. C’mon … the Enterprise just has a couple of shuttles, while the Battlestar has tons of Colonial Vipers that could dart in and out.
Reading this thread takes on a nearly surreal air when you do it while flipping through the Player’s Handbook trying to figure out what the Spot check DC is for noticing a portal activate during combat.
I don’t mean to hijack the thread here, but I was so jazzed to see someone pick up on my little joke.
Yes, but face it, no matter how many times Vash hits Alucard with bullets, Alucard’s just going to ooze around and fight back, whereas we know Vash can be hurt, he got all those scars from someplace.
The sad part is that this game is called “Who vs. who?” and is constantly played by my family, even my daughter who is not normally allowed to discuss stuff she isn’t allowed to watch like Hellsing. My husband’s latest is that Severus Snape could beat Alucard but I don’t buy that one either. It’s the Nerd Family all right.
Anyway, no fair bringing up Battlestar Galactica, that thing is just plain enormous and while they may have been lousy actors they were all great pilots.
3E or 3.5? Because I don’t think 3E includes this information – that might be your problem. The fine upstanding folk over at the EN Boards Rules Forum would be more than happy to help, at any rate.
I thought a lot of the people in that bit seemed pretty good-natured about the whole thing, took the ribbing with good humor, and seemed to realize that yes, they were more than a little nerdy. It was the ones who tried to be “cool” and talk back to Triumph that really came off as losers. Sometimes delusional losers.
I think I came up with a fair DC, but if I have time I’ll try to run it by the Enworld people. I’m still using 3E. Our 3.5 books are in the process of shipping.
Excuse me. Al Gore didnt get elected. Any discussions about what he could or couldnt have done while in office is FICTION! The same goes about whether or not we shouldve gone into Iraq. We kicked butt and came back already! Give it a rest! Argueing back and forth on the technicalitys of a done deed is pointless and near taking it too far. Focus on the here and now is what i am hearing from the dissenters here.
What I am getting at is that if a person goes to work in a multi-colored mono-suit with a “tricorder”, does her job well, believes in the reality of Star Trek, How is that different from a guy going to work in a 3 peice suit and a PDA, doing his job well, believes in the reality of a God? If theyre happy and they dont hurt anyone, its their call. Rememer that part about “the pursuit of happiness”?
This isn’t supposed to be taken too seriously. But I am annoyed by people who take their hobbies to extremes and loose their grips on reality. With something as retarted to argue about which fictional ship is better and truely argue about it is nuts! Like I said in the very begining
But taking it too seriously is extreme. Let you be a sports fanatic or a Trekkie you are taking this a little far.
