Just one. I’ll go first: The Sting.
Some have touched on it in his RIP thread ➜ RIP Robert Redford ■ .

Ordinary People
As I said in that thread, The Sting, but he is one part of a large ensemble cast. I’m not sure how much credit to give him for the greatness of the movie.
He was an iconic actor but I’m not sure if he was a great actor. Paul Newman, he was a great actor.
Botch Casually And The Somedunce Kid (I may have the spelling wrong )
Butch and Sundance barely nudges out Sneakers.
All the President’s Men
He was terrific in Three Days Of The Condor.
This would be my answer too, only Redford doesn’t appear in it. For a movie that stars Redford, I would pick Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Same - though I also really enjoy Spy Game and Last Castle.

Spy Game
I recall the one Mad parody being called The Way We Bore.
Being a baseball fan has to be The Natural.
Jeremiah Johnson followed closely by Three Days of the Condor.
Another vote for Jeremiah Johnson. A truely intense man’s movie.
Og help me, I’ve only seen the social-media-reaction meme (Redford as Johnson, nodding his head in approval).
My favorite is Sneakers though his work with Newman is exemplary.
I would pick Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I’m a sucker for cowboy outlaw movies of any stripe.
The Sting, all the way.
And I know it’s pick only one, but after that it’s The Natural, then The Great Waldo Pepper.
J.J. for sure.
Not just a man’s movie. It’s essentially a love story.
