Eh, if I get banned over it the admins can eat rancid whale dick. If someone pokes around they can find where he’s listed as a sex offender, which contains a lot more info than just his name. Maybe he’s learned his lesson and reformed since he got busted, I don’t know.
Here’s what I do know: The guy wrote one of the most absolutely beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard. He also introduced me to all kinds of amazing art. I’ll not give him a dime of my money, even if he is reformed. Other people might feel differently, and that is their right. However, by naming him, I’m ensuring that they know what he did in the past, so they can’t claim ignorance of it.
Also, I just want to say that his piece “Labrador” sounds way, way better with a trumpet, than with a flute. He will disagree with me on this, but trust me, the trumpet is what makes that piece, and subbing in a flute for it turns it into Muzak.
Finally, I’m not back. I’ve posted a couple of times in the past 5 years.
I have no comment on moderation here. But as someone who is generally against doxxing, I don’t think shaming a published artist and public figure who is on a public list of convicted criminals should in any way count as doxxing them.
Maybe he has reformed. That doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Just to clear up any confusion, I don’t see any problem with ID’ing this guy. He’s a public figure, if a minor one, and his conviction is also public record. Hell, the government puts guys like him on a list specifically so people know about him.
So, no need to report this thread. No rules are violated by it.
