I don’t care if he’s the president of the united snakes, the manager has no business encouraging one person to hit another. I don’t give a flying fuck on a rolling doughnut how cute it looks.
Does this fuckdingle have a manager over him? Is there any way to drop a hit that this wing-ding weisenheimer’s thinks a little bit of violence is fun in the workplace? Maybe you can write the manager’s-manager a little note, asking what the company’s policy is in a case like this: should you gape open-mouthed or fall to the floor in mock unconsciousness?

Becase you’re a man and she’s a girl, you’re going to let it go----she can assault and harm you. I understand not wanting to take all the trouble to file charges against her, about not wanting to hassle about a law suit against the company, but you can file charges against her. You have a witness that she hit you and you should have a doctor look at your head injury—how clean was the bag? Will you get an infection on your scalp? If she does assault you again, isn’t it self-defense to slap her silly? Again, in front of witnesses? I don’t condone men hitting women, but men shouldn’t be hit by women, either. Just because she’s little and a girl doesn’t give her justification to harm you in any way. Just because you’re big and a man doesn’t mean you should allow her to harm you.

Any time you are injured at work you should report it in writing to your supervisor and HR in case you need to make a claim against workers’ compensation. You should normally do this right away after the injury but you can still do it now. If I were you, I’d find out what paperwork or forms you need to fill out at your job and inform them that you are planning to have a doctor check out your head ASAP. Ask them how they plan to make payment for this and what the doctor needs to do since it should be covered under workers’ comp. Send copies of your statement of what happened to your supervisor, his supervisor, the dept. head, and HR. Don’t over-dramatize it or make a lot of noise about how stupid your boss was - it will be immediately apparent to his boss and HR. If they laugh off your claims or refuse to cover the doctor’s bill, contact your state’s Dept. of Labor, probably the Division of Employment & Training - whichever agency handles workers’ comp - and describe the situation. I’d imagine your idiotic boss will never again encourage one employee to hit another one, even in jest.
