You guys are too fat!

The human eye is terrible at estimating the circumference of a solid cylindrical oval. Didja know many (maybe even most) pregnant women end up at some point bigger around then they are tall? 'Strue. But “around” the middle is a hard number to guesstimate - it’s almost always bigger than you think.

Holy crap. If I end up more than 71" around you are going to have to roll me to the hospital. I am going to measure my stomach when I get home.

Let us know what you end up with! (And, are you pregnant? I didn’t know…congratulations!)

I think the sextuplets woman on TLC only ended up at 64" around. So you’ll probably be OK. Congratulations!

I’ve got a similar problem finding pants. I’m 5’8, weigh just under 150 and wear a size 30 waist–rather, my waist is a size thirty, but I have to wear a size 31 or even 32 because my thighs are too big. Guess it’s all that manly manly muscle causing them to bulge. So now my great ass (really, I promise. I get many compliments) is swallowed by these too-big pants and it looks like I haven’t even got one.

I guess I just try to get by one day at a time. But it’s a struggle. :stuck_out_tongue:

When I was in high school, I had a 28 inch waist and 22 inch thighs. I never found a comfortable pair of pants until I got fat.

Thanks!
Here’s the stats:

27 weeks along, 44" around at widest point. I was 32" before I got pregnant, so 12" of baby and stuff in there. I asked my husband to guess before I measured, and he guessed 38". He is usually good at guessing things like distance and area, so it does seem that circumference is harder. He was way under (or just being nice:) ) I guessed 45" but I admit I went higher because of your info that people usually underguess.

So I do have a ways to go before I am bigger around than tall, but I have an advantage here because I am taller than average. I always feel sorry for short women near the end of pregnacy, everything seems so squished up in there.

Yep, pregnant! I am due Christmas Eve. All I want for Christmas is an easy labor and delivery!
