That’s idiotic. That’s the best graphic design they could come up with? I’d be willing to bet the board members could come up with a dozen better options by lunchtime.
Yeah, it’s always been an issue. You should have seen it when we used to have chats; some people were sure this was the place to go to get your dope on and they were very disappointed that it was not 4:20 over here.

He’s right, though. It sure doesn’t help when it’s the publisher making the erroneous connection for the potential new posters.
And before anybody frets about money being spent on this kind of advertising (vs board upkeep or something) - I doubt SD or the Reader are paying for that space. Most likely it’s unsold page space that they fill it up w/ their own property’s ads. TV and cable networks do that a lot to - use unsold inventory to run their own spots just so that something is filling the time.

Well, it’s topical given the election results. And Cecil could use the publicity, especially if it is essentially free.
You would think. But when a proposal was floated for member designed t-shirts, I think there were all of 2 entries, one of them preposterously amateurish.[sup]1[/sup]
