You may go to hell, I'm going to Texas. Suggestions?

Houston really has some kickass museums and zoo. I still have my Camp Zoofari shirt. And the theater district is pretty rocking too.

The basement is a let dow… [ETA] damn you, pravnik.

I’m glad you mentioned that because I never would have thought of it, but it’s something I can’t recommend enough. Renfest is awesome. Real “fun for all ages” kind of event, the kids love it, it appeals to the parents, and the college kids really love it too. Hard not to have fun at Renfest.

Grab some lawn chairs, some Shiner (the Official Brew of the Republic), and sit out by the Congress Ave Bridge and check out the bats. It’s pretty cool.

Isn’t it cool? We’ve been three or four times and it’s always a blast. Your photos look like you had a great time.

Ft. Worth is one of the oldest cities in North Texas, and it still has that feel. The streets downtown are mostly one way because it was a major staging area for beef shipments from the outlying ranches, and you just can’t drive cattle two directions at once.

Did you go see the Michelangelo?

Enjoy,
Steven
