You must get a tattoo - what would you choose?

Back when tattoos first started getting popular I briefly considered getting one. I have a lot of Scottish ancestry. I was thinking of one of those tattoos where it looks like the skin has been torn away and it would reveal my family’s (clan’s?) hunting plaid underneath.
I forgot about it because (a) I was never really “serious” about my Scottish heritage other than liking bagpipes and attending the Highland Games events in my city a few times, and (b) the plaid would be hard for even a really good artist to make look right, and © I’m never satisfied with anything and would always feel like no matter how good it turned out, I would find fault with it.

If forced to get a tattoo I would probably go with that.

I’m planning on getting this sometime in the future. I want the eyes to be blue.

A small (about the size of a quarter), realistic dog paw print on my left breast, right above where my bra rides. I actually want to get this anyway, someday.

I’d get Bob the Angry Flower’s guide to the apostrophe. http://www.angryflower.com/aposter.html Hypothetically, that would put an end to tattoo’s.

A scooter, in the style of Shag, something like this.

Love it! Maybe I’ll start looking into finding just the right artist.

Maybe something in circular Gallifreyan, or else I’d get a friend of mine who designs tattoos to design something unique for me.

Every time I get the urge to get a tattoo, I sit down until the urge goes away. It always does.

I’ve already got a couple, the one on my right shoulder is an original with my kids names in it.

I’ve tossed around getting another, if I had to get one because it was the law I’d be inclined to get a large W on each butt check so I could have fun showing the inspectors.

Those people who want to get the sole of their foot tattooed, I want to watch. Seriously good luck with that.

Family coat of arms on right shoulder blade.

This is a good and useful one that all tattoo haters might consider. It is useful!

I’ve found that coffee helps.

I saw that design in a tattoo shop while wandering around Augusta, Ga when I was in the army. I’ve always not getting it. Of course, getting now wouldn’t have the same impact as when I was a young draftee. My army overlords would have freaked

Oh, and my mandatory tat would probably be of Ignatz Mouse.

Heh. I always surrender to the urge.

“Why” but only because I don’t have the length for “Wendy.”

This equation in black ink-

P = VICosΦ

Shoe prints running up my calf.

I’d get an iceberg, something similar to this.

I have a tattoo folder on my pc containing ~10 pictures so far. Into that folder, I put a picture of any tattoo I think I want. If I still want it in 12 months, I’ll allow myself to get one. That hasn’t happened yet. I wouldn’t *mind *having a tattoo, and I think they’re neat in general, but I haven’t felt sufficiently compelled (yet) to actually go to the trouble myself.

But per the hypothetical, if I *had *to get one, I’d pick from that folder. Maybe the enormous rainbow phoenix. So, something like this, but bigger, on my back.

Either this

Or this. On butt or calf. Whichever.

“Access to this resource is not allowed” could be ironically cool, especially if you’re a tech geek, I guess.
