I agree with your second statement, and not your first statement. Being a liar or a madman doesn’t mean you’re going to be incompetent in your pursuit of evil or implementation of Fascism. I would argue that Hitler was very competent in his Fascism. Where he failed was military strategy. But his basic takeover of Germany and much of Europe prior to getting over-extended in the East was competent…He was a madman. He was evil. He was a liar. But he wasn’t incompetent.
I think I mostly agree, but it’s not a line of thought I’ve spent too much time on. It’s too depressing.
I’m not promoting fascism, for Pete’s sake, and its evil is self-evident. I’m not a fan. But if you think Hitler was a bumbler as a politician, I’d suggest you read up on it.
I’d recommend Shirer’s The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. Hitler learned from his mistakes and was almost flawless in his political decisions in his lead-up to assuming control. His manipulation of European leadership prior to the war was masterful.

Well, the recent success of the Harris/Walz ticket was certainly got him panicking, so that’s a start. Like most things in life, it’s a confidence game, and no one wants to vote for a loser. That’s why Trump is losing confidence. Just have to keep picking away at him.
