I’m from North Carolina. We have the “North Carolina Pickle Festival.”
Actually, it’s the Mt. Olive Pickle Festival. There used to be 2 pickle companies involved–Cates Pickles and Mt. Olive Pickles. Then one day the plant manager at Cates quit and went to work at Mt. Olive, where he became a vice-president. Cates went downhill, and Mt. Olive became the largest pickle company in the southeast.
And that’s why we have a pickle festival. Thank you.
