Your Baseball Team?

White Sox all the way!!

Cardinal - National League team of the century.

And, hackensack, you should have heard the broadcasts in the late fifties, with Harry Caray, Jack Buck and Joe Garagiola at the same time.

Baseball… blah… nothing but team golf.

I’ve been a Giants fan my whole life. This is the year, baby! We’re gonna’ do it! YEAH!!! Or not. Who knows.

But I can’t wait for Pac Bell Park to open. I’m one of those guys who always loved Candlestick Park, regardless of what all you namby-pamby losers said about the wind and temperature, but from what I’ve seen of the new place, it’s gonna’ be awesome! And it’s a fifeteen minute walk from my office downtown. I have a feeling I’m gonna’ be leaving work early (cough, cough, sneeze, hack, “I must be getting sick.”) many times this year.

Well Poly, we’ll have to wait and see if God is really a Tigers fan.

I am a true die hard, I’m a cubs fan. And not one of those last 3 year cubs fan, but a cubs fan for the last 12 years, or atleast as far back as I can remember. Woo hoo go cubs!

DirtyDevil, there are few places I would rather be than Candlestick on a sunny Sunday afternoon. But then, something happens. That sunny Sunday afternoon becomes Sunday evening. The wind starts swirling around the infield, and Safeway bags decorate the outfield. Time to pull out the extra blankets and pull on the sweater and parka, and you begin wondering why a July day in California is like this.

I’m not complaining, really (how else would I have earned my Croix de Candlestick?), just pointing out that night games at Candlestick are not all that enjoyable, unless you happen to be from Alaska (Melvin Belli won a lawsuit against the Giants by proving that the average temperature at a night game at the Stick is lower than the average temperature in Fairbanks [? I think that was the city].)

I cannot WAIT to get to PacBell! ::bounces around::

“Don’t Do It.”

One of the diehards and happy to see the Yanks on a losing streak. I know, I know, it’s spring training and it’s all going to turn around and they’ll be the team of the next century, blah, blah, blah. I’m enjoying it while I can…
