Your childhood TV crushes

Oh! totally forgot about him! YES!

Lisa Gerritson, who played Bess, Rhoda’s daughter, on the Mary Tyler Moore show.

Plus a few already mentioned above…

Melissa Sue Anderson from Little House on the Prairie.

She was on some variety show singing Elton John’s Your Song. Blew me away.

Small nitpick, she was Phyllis’ daughter.

It was always odd to me that Jack was never interested in Lana’s advances.

I’ve always thought she was pretty hot too, but Jack apparently wasn’t interested in women/divorcees older than he was.

Well, just as there’s “TV Ugly,” I suppose there’s also “TV Old.”
How could anybody possibly be interested in a 45 year old woman? Ridiculous!

My early ones were Punky Brewster (Soleil Moon Frye) and Moose from You Can’t Do That On Television (Christine McGlade). I was, like, seven. They were both older than me.

Later on, it was all Tiffany Amber Theissen with a little bit of Alyssa Milano.

Trish Noble showed up in a couple things in the 70s…yowza! This episode was hilarious.

Ted hits it out of the park.

I’ve got a couple of early ones that I bet will be obscure:

The youngest daughter on Gimme a Break (Laura Jill Miller)

And, since Chronos opened the door for cartoon characters, Lucy Little.

Leif Garrett was on Three for the Road. So dreamy.
Robin Ellis on the original Poldark

Valerie Bertinelli for me. She still looks great now at 60. When EVH wanted their son to go on tour to play bass with VH at age 16 she at first said no way. She eventually said OK. He’s 29 now and still in VH.

I didn’t watch that show in its day. But the adult Laura Jill Miller has a kind of Tina Fey thing going. It works for me…

Wait … is my comment breaking the “wholesome” standard for this thread?

She should’ve stuck with her first instinct.

Julie on Electric Company for me. Seeing her as an adult, she looks like a kid. Which, of course, she was. In real life, she’s a few years older than me. Irene Cara’s character on EC was someone I crushed on as well.

My first celebrity crush was on Ty Miller, who was on The Young Riders when I was 12.

I thought of yet another one…Robbie Benson

^ Who could ever learn to love a beast?

I think I was slightly older than twelve, but Ari Meyers (the brunette daughter on Kate & Allie) was my first celebrity crush.

Nobody yet showing some love for Miss Elizabeth, Macho Man Randy Savage’s manager? ooooooh yeah dig it!
