Your choice of first songs on your lovely headphones

Fellow tinnitus sufferer… I find that music on headphones is helpful , the music also seems to come from the middle of my head, just like the tinnitus. It helps distract me from it, at the very least. It’s different with normal speakers, that is almost like a competition with the infernal screaming…

Thanks everyone for your song choices, I plan to try them all myself :notes:

Cool EnglishGrey. My tinnitus is more like a sin wave. Analog I guess. With an underlying constant ring of the same frequency. And it’s different in each ear and changes. Never goes away.

Had a friend that had a friend with bad tinnitus. She said he committed suicide because of it. Gee, thanks for that info.

I’m fine really. I know it bugs my wife. I do my best to work with CC and stuff when we watch TV. I try to play music that I can follow along with when she is about because I will know it so well and don’t have to turn it up. I do have hearing aids. I need that looked at again.

I’ll stop the hi-jack now.

The Cars : Moving in Stereo

AC/DC : Thunderstruck

I’m rather fond of Handel’s “Zadok the Priest” which covers a fine selection of range and volume.

And - I too like this song - a sound engineer I know would always use U2’s "I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For" for sound tests.

I think he did it because he liked the song, but also as a test-bed so each sound rig he set up sounded the same and correct to him.

So thats my second choice.

There’s the old standby; Tom’s Diner by Suzanne Vega.
